Your Comfort & Safety
At Abilene Surgical Associates, we prioritize your comfort during every oral surgery. Our surgeons undergo extensive hospital-based training in anesthesia and are evaluated by state dental board-appointed examiners to ensure the highest standards of safety.
Local Anesthesia
The patient remains fully conscious, but the surgical area is completely numbed. Best for simple procedures like soft tissue repair.
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)
A sweet-smelling gas that creates a relaxed state within 20 seconds. You remain in control but feel calm. No "hangover" effect.
IV Sedation (Twilight Sleep)
Medication is administered through an IV to help you relax deeply. You may drift in and out of sleep and often will not remember the procedure afterward. This is the preferred method for Wisdom Teeth Removal and Dental Implants.
General Anesthesia
For extensive reconstruction or specific medical conditions, we offer deep sleep anesthesia, closely monitored by our professionals.
Certification & Standards
We hold our practice to the highest standards of safety:
- Expert Training: Our surgeons undergo extensive hospital-based training.
- Licensing: Licenses are renewed every two years to ensure compliance.
- Monitoring: Constant monitoring and "drip" maintenance during IV sedation.
